Killing on the Doomsday
The death penalty in Taiwan is a heated issue for debate. In 2010, the Minister of Justice had no choice but to resign because the public opinion was in strong support of the death penalty while the Minister was against it. Since then the de facto moratorium 2006-2009 was interrupted, and executions have been done regularly. This research will analyze the judgments of the capital cases 2006-2015 to challenge the legitimacy of the court in the death penalty.
